Caribbean - South America

This travel book describes two trips, eight years apart. Almost exactly eight years, in fact. And neither of them had necessarily been on the wish list. The first visit to the Caribbean started on the New Year's Eve in 2005 and ended on the 16 January 2006. It uncovered ten islands and eleven states Aruba, Curacao, Sint Maarten, Saint-Martin, Antigua, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Martinique, Barbados, Grenada, and Puerto Rico. Trip number two, from the 20 December 2013 to the 13 January 2014, included: The Bahamas (New Providence), Cayman Islands (Grand Cayman), Jamaica, Turks & Caicos Islands (Providenciales, Grand Turk), Haiti, Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Virgin Islands (Saint Thomas, Saint John), British Virgin Islands (Tortola, Beef Island), Anguilla, Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten, Saint Barthelemy, Antigua, Saint Vincent, Bequia, and Tobago.

Both trips were designed to be based on island hopping. In total, this book covers twenty-six islands and twenty-six states. This book is about two trips to Cuba, the largest of the Caribbean islands, visited between 21 December 2000 and 4 January 2001 and again between 21 December 2017 and 2 January 2018.

It has 327 pages with over 300 original photographs and detailed impressions of an independent traveller mingling with the Cuban people, some of the friendliest people on Earth. It includes hints and tips for travellers, budgets and actual costs, detailed itineraries, travel practicalities, and recommendations where to sleep, eat, drink, dance, listening to the music and go out.

The trip in 2000/2001 included: Varadero, Santa Clara, Remedios, Park National of Caguanes, the Cayos, Camagüey, El Cobre, Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa, Sancti Spíritus, Valle de los Ingenios, Trinidad, Jagua, Cienfuegos, Playa Girón, Ciénaga de Zapata, Piñar del Río, Puerto Esperanza and Havana.

This book covers ten islands in the South Pacific: Tahiti, Mo'orea, Bora Bora, New Caledonia, Efate (Vanuatu), Viti Levu (Fiji), Tonga, Samoa, Rarotonga and the South Island of New Zealand. The region was visited between the 1 November 2012 and 18 November 2012. This illustrated travel book is about Mexico and Belize. It chronicles experiences from a trip that took place between Saturday, the 24th March 2018 and Sunday, the 8th April 2018.

Vanishing - The Okavango Delta

This short book is about a weekend-long escapade to the Okavango Delta in Botswana in the third week of June 2007. It describes first hand impressions of this fascinating place and an adventure that some found a bit shocking and irresponsible. This book is free to download so everyone has a chance to familiarise themselves with the style of writing and the perspective of the photography.
